4 day Luxury Safari * Tanzania and Kenya

Following the competition, we will divide into two teams of twenty for our two unique safari excursions. After each two day safari excursion, the teams will switch and do the other unique safari excursion.

Safari 1 Team A (20 persons)

Day 1: After an amazing early breakfast, Team 1 will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater where we will check in our rooms and have an early lunch at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (or similar lodge.) The lodge sits on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater from where you get incredible views of the collapsed volcano.

After a short rest break, we’ll proceed for an afternoon tour of the crater. The drive commences with the 600 meter descent to the crater floor, a magnificent natural amphitheater. The crater supports a year round resident population of a variety of wildlife. You will have no trouble spotting lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, as well as many species of plain animals such as wildebeest, zebra, reed buck, Thompson gazelle, and many more. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually been seen here.

Day 2: After our breakfast, we will visit Tarangire, one of the more seasonal parks in northern Tanzania with a lot of migratory movement within the greater Tarangire ecosystem. In the dry season, between June and October, there is an incredible concentration of elephants. Herds of up to 300 elephants can be found, looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, giraffe, hartebeest, and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. The park's dominant feature is the Tarangire River, but most memorable are the huge baobab trees dotted around in big numbers.

After our safari, we will return to Arusha for dinner at the lovely Impala Lodge.

After eating lunch, they will explore the 283,000 acre Maasai reservation and enjoy a game drive to lookout hill. This will be followed by dinner and a MWCT introduction.
